Samson Receives $350,000 for Street Improvements

SAMSON, Ala. — The City of Samson is set to receive $350,000 in state transportation funding through the Rebuild Alabama Annual Grant Program for improvements to streets throughout the city.

The funding will be used to pave Camellia Drive and Davis Circle and resurface 12 additional streets. In total, the project will improve approximately 3.38 miles of roadway within Samson.

The city will contribute an additional $100,495 in local matching funds, bringing the total investment in the project to $450,495.

The funding comes through the Alabama Department of Transportation’s Annual Grant Program, which was established under the Rebuild Alabama Act.
